Our Mission is:
"To provide a
forum for an exchange of information among shopping
center developers, owners, managers, brokers, investors,
vendors and all professionals serving the Northwest
shopping center industry for mutual benefit."
NSCA take a Hiatus
As it stands today, the NSCA is facing serious
financial constraints. This is simply a result
due to the lack of renewals from existing
membership, as well as very few new members
joining the NSCA in the last year. Our
organization is not alone. Others, like local
chapters of the chamber of commerce, are facing
the same challenges.
The NSCA Board of Directors held a meeting this
past Monday. We have collectively decided
that the NSCA should take a hiatus for a few
months as we contemplate the future of the
organization. Our plan is to poll our
membership within the next few months and see if
the NSCA can continue as an association. Our
organization is only as good as the
participation of our members.
We would like to hold the, always popular,
holiday luncheon again this year. If interest is
there and participation is high, we would hold
that event again in December.
I want to thank all members for your
participation in the organization up to this
point. I also want to thank the Board of
Directors for their support of the NSCA. We are
certainly open to feedback and questions
regarding any matter associated with the NSCA.
Sincerely,
John Hinds
NSCA President
